About Us
A church is never just one thing. A church is
always a
combination of many interests and points of view. But if you
want to get to the heart of what Trinity United Methodist Church is, you
only have to walk into our Sanctuary and look up above the Lord's Table.
There, carved in wood at the center of our place of worship are the
words of Christ, 'I am among you as one who serves'.
Trinity is a church that is at work in our community.
We do not retire to a quiet sanctuary and bemoan the problems of a tired
world. Trinity people are out there on a daily basis trying to
make it better. Service. It
was at the heart of why our Lord came to us and we cannot fail to follow
his lead.
Trinity is a church that is open to all believers regardless of age, race, or sexual
orientation, because we believe that all of God's children are welcome at his table.
Trinity is a church that values worship, not as an act that we are
required to do but as a cleansing, empowering celebration of our
relationship with God. And since one size never fits all, we
strive to provide alternatives for worship ranging from the traditional
to the emerging.
Trinity is many things, but mostly it is a
place where you can come, no matter who you are, and be embraced by the
fellowship of like minded believers, a place where you can feel at home in God's
home.
