Missions - Local Missions

United Methodist Programming
Support for the five lanes of United Methodist Mission Programming has always been at the forefront of Trinity's mission giving and through the years we have consistently ranking near the top in terms of five lane giving.

Project Heifer

It's something that we, in our world, never think of; the importance of an animal to a families survival.  But in many third world countries rabbits or a goat or a water buffalo can make the difference between just surviving and thriving.  And Project Heifer helps put animals in needy hands.

Trinity Garden
For over 20 years now Trinity members have planted, maintained, and harvested a large garden with the produce being donated to Second Harvest Gleaners.

Hunger Walk
This yearly walk, sponsored by Grace helps raise money to fight both global and local hunger.

Local Financial Support
Trinity provides financial support for a number of local programs including

Caring Coins - collection of spare change that is rotated on a monthly basis for local causes.

Holiday Offerings - Designated for local, national, and international programs.

Hunger Pot - Plain iron pot located in the Narthex.  Money goes into Altar Fund

Altar Fund - Used for individuals in the neighborhood and our church family with emergency financial needs.

Refugee Resettlement
Trinity has worked with PARA (Program Assisting Refugee Acculturation) helping newly arrived refugees from a variety of countries to adjust to their new life here in Grand Rapids and start developing the skills required to be successful.   We are always looking for people to help with this process whether with vocational concerns, learning how to get around in Grand Rapids, or just a friendly face to know in a strange land.
