Chancel Choir

A mixed choir of volunteer singers. Aside from providing music for the Sunday morning worship services, the Chancel Choir participates in special events such as the Festival of Music, the Christmas Madrigal Feaste, the Grand Rapids Bach Festival, and periodic concert tours.

Among major works with professional orchestra presented by the Chancel Choir in recent years are F.J. Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Leonard Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Randall Thompson’s Hymn to Freedom, G. F. Handel’s Blessed Are They that Considereth the Poor, and Carl Wiltse’s Te Deum Laudamus.

The Chancel Choir has also undertaken a number of concert tours, which have taken them to The Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and France.

Matin Ringers and Trinity Ringers
Trinity boasts two adult hand bell choirs, both of which regularly ring in worship, as well as participating in regional festivals and the Festival of Music. Guest conductors have included Cynthia Mocklebust, Donald Allured, and Carl Wiltse, and the group has also performed with the Grand Rapids Symphony. No audition or experience is required, but some ability to read music is required.

Trinity Orchestra
This orchestra is made up of youths and adults who play an instrument. The orchestra plays in worship four times a year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Palm Sunday, and Easter). All instrumentalists are welcome, and no audition is required.
