Chancel Choir
A mixed choir of volunteer singers. Aside from
providing music for the Sunday morning worship
services, the Chancel Choir participates in special
events such as the Festival of Music, the Christmas
Madrigal Feaste, the Grand Rapids Bach Festival, and
periodic concert tours.
Among major works with professional orchestra
presented by the Chancel Choir in recent years are F.J. Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass, Leonard
Bernstein’s Chichester Psalms, Randall
Thompson’s Hymn to Freedom, G. F. Handel’s
Blessed Are They that Considereth the Poor, and
Carl Wiltse’s Te Deum Laudamus.
The Chancel Choir has also undertaken a number of
concert tours, which have taken them to The
Netherlands, Germany, Italy, and France.

Matin Ringers and Trinity Ringers
Trinity boasts two adult hand bell choirs, both
of which regularly ring in worship, as
well as participating in regional festivals and the
Festival of Music. Guest conductors have included
Cynthia Mocklebust, Donald Allured, and Carl Wiltse,
and the group has also performed with the Grand
Rapids Symphony. No audition or experience is
required, but some ability to read music is required.
Trinity Orchestra
This orchestra is made up of youths and adults who
play an instrument. The orchestra plays in worship
four times a year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Palm
Sunday, and Easter). All instrumentalists are
welcome, and no audition is required. |
