Christmas Madrigal Feaste
The Christmas Madrigal Feaste, a combination theme dinner and concert,
is a Trinity tradition. It is held bi-annually (that's every other
year, I get confused too) and harkens back to a different era, an era of
Lords and Ladies, jesters and knights, servants and squires.

This jolly Christmas celebration
features actors and musicians dressed in Renaissance
costumes who sing, dance, and perform a morality
play during the evening meal. Jesters provide
special entertainment while the youth of the church
act as serving lads and lasses. And if you are
the parent of one of the youth you know there is
nothing quite as satisfying as sitting in your seat
and watching them carry your dinner over to you.
The evening concludes with a
candlelight concert of medieval (and more modern) Christmas
carols in the
Trinity Sanctuary presented by the Chancel Choir, Matin Ringers, Celebration Singers, and Wesley
Singers. Tickets for this event go on sale
several weeks before the pre-Christmas performance
and are quickly sold out. |
