Church Council
Chair – Paul Hillman
The Church Council is the administrative body of the church. Their role is to lead the congregation in long-range planning and facilitate ministries that meet the mission and vision of the church. Meetings are every six weeks, Sept. through May, following Sunday’s 11 a.m. worship service. The 2010 dates are: Jan. 24, Feb. 28, Apr. 11, May 23.
Staff Parish Relations Committee
Chair – Vicki Francis
Their primary task is to support the pastors and staff so that they can work effectively in managing the ministry of the congregation for witness and service. It has both leadership and management functions in the congregation. This team meets approximately once a month, Sept. through May.
Finance Committee

Financial Secretary – Barb Spangenberg
The primary purpose is to manage and distribute the financial resources of the congregation to support and strengthen the mission and ministry of the congregation.
Board of Trustees

Audio/Visual Chair – Dick Thomas
The primary task is to supervise and maintain all property belonging to the congregation so that the ministries of the church can be effective.
Committee on Lay Leadership
Chair – David Nellist
The primary task is to ensure that the congregation has a process for discovering, inviting, nominating and supporting people for Christian leadership position essential to the ministries of nurture and outreach in your local congregation and community. The committee will work to help persons discover their gifts and ways to be in mission and ministry; train new, existing, and potential leadership; support those who have been elected in their roles; and discern new mission or ministry opportunities.
Stewardship
Chair -
The primary task is to help people understand the meaning of Christian stewardship and the need to practice it in all of life.
Community Ministries Council
Chair – Dave Kampfschulte
Community Ministries (CM) is for inner city children, teens and young adult who come to Trinity weekly to find caring, consistent adults with whom to spend time. The CM Council is the administrative body of the program.
Membership Growth and Development

Endowment and Memorials Committee
Chair – George House
Memorials provide the opportunity to remember a special person in a way that all Trinity people can use and enjoy. Endowments can be set up to designate a gift from your estate for that improvement you have always thought should be done. A gift to either of these funds benefit Trinity people.
Music Committee
Chair –
At Trinity, the purpose of music is to enhance worship and help us feel closer to our Creator through songs of praise and worship. Trinity has had a long-standing tradition of quality music. The music committee tries to help facilitate this.
Communications Committee
Chair -
The primary task of this committee is to help the congregation get important information and share the Christian message with each other and the community.
Adult Education Council
Chair – Bob and Linda Dudley
The Adult Education Council is charged with creating our Adult Education class on Sundays and during the week. The United Methodist quadrilateral of experience, tradition, reason and scripture is their guide as the council creates classes for fellow church members and visitors. The hope is that these offerings will stimulate minds, stir hearts and call us to action.

United Methodist Women

It is an autonomous organization within the United Methodist Church. UMW provides diverse opportunities for women to act on their faith through study, mission outreach and spiritual growth and be in community.
Stephen Ministry
Leaders – Jodie Seese, Kim Wyngarden
“Christ Caring for People Through People”— That’s the motto of Stephen Ministry. The Stephen Minister’s role is to bring God’s love into the lives of people who are going through a difficult time or experiencing a crisis. What do Stephen Ministers do? They listen to you, care for you, support and encourage you and pray with and for you. In the midst of this confidential, one-on-one, caring relationship, God’s healing love comes pouring through. If you or someone you know is facing a crisis—large or small—and could benefit from the caring presence of a Stephen Minister, talk with one of your Stephen Leaders (Jodie Seese, 446-7058, Kim Wyngarden, 776-2572) or Carole Lyman (456-7168).

Trinity Board of Church and Society recommends to the congregation social concerns study and/or action initiatives that help the church connect and respond to ministries of mercy or justice that promote systemic change and which are a voice for justice.
Boy Scouts
Representative – John Czuhajewski
Trinity’s Boy Scout Troop #215 is one of the oldest in the nation! The troop started in 1918 and we have had many successful scouts, including the late Roger B. Chaffee and the late Gerald R. Ford, both of whom earned the rank of Eagle Scout while members of Troop 215.
We meet on Monday nights from 7 to 8:30 p.m. during the school year. New scouts are always welcome! Come check us out or contact Scoutmaster John Czuhajewski at 616.575.8545.
