Altar Fund
The Altar Fund is a discretionary fund that is funded through individual donations to fill financial needs/requests made by people in the neighborhood or church members. It is typically requested for rent, utilities and/or medical needs. The money is dispersed through a structured screening process by either the pastor and community ministries staff.

Blood Drive
Trinity has always been involved in the community in many ways.  And one of those ways is by sponsoring four blood drives (for Michigan Blood Center, www.miblood.org) each year, something that not only helps the community but provides a nice, quick, convenient way for those at Trinity to donate blood without having to drive or schedule an appointment. Our remaining 2010 Blood Drives are June 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and October 3 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Caring Coins
As a prominent church in the community, many agencies and organizations mail us with funding requests. As a Mission Work Area, we think many of these requests represent very good programs that reach out to the community in helpful ways, much as our own Community Ministries Program or the Trinity Garden does. Some years ago, the pennies, nickels and dimes (quarters are now included) from the offering plate began to be collected and sent to one selected agency each month. Please contribute and be generous with your pocket change as we support others who strive to do good work in our community.

Stephen Ministries
“Christ Caring for People Through People”— That’s the motto of Stephen Ministry. The Stephen Minister’s role is to bring God’s love into the lives of people who are going through a difficult time or experiencing a crisis. What do Stephen Ministers do? They listen to you, care for you, support and encourage you and pray with and for you. In the midst of this confidential, one-on-one, caring relationship, God’s healing love comes pouring through. If you or someone you know is facing a crisis—large or small—and could benefit from the caring presence of a Stephen Minister, talk with one of your Stephen Leaders (Jodie Seese, 446-7058, Kim Wyngarden, 776-2572) or Carole Lyman (456-7168).
